ExcerptDraw

ExcerptDraw collects nothing. There is no account, no server and no analytics. The app does not upload your lists to us. They are stored on your device, device backups may include them, and you can choose to share a round summary yourself through the iOS share sheet.

The short version

What stays on your device

Your lists, the excerpt titles and reminders you type, your rounds in progress, your flags and your round history are stored in the app's own storage on your iPhone. The app does not upload any of it to us, and we cannot see it.

If you back your iPhone up, the backup is handled by Apple or by your computer under the settings you have chosen, and app data may be included in it. That is Apple's mechanism, not ours, and we have no access to it.

Deleting the app removes its data from the device in the normal iOS way. A backup you made earlier is a separate copy and is governed by your backup settings.

Sharing a summary

ExcerptDraw can hand a plain-text summary of a round to the standard iOS share sheet, and you choose where it goes: a message, an email, a note, or anywhere else you pick. It only happens when you ask for it, nothing is sent automatically, and it does not come to us.

Once you send it, that summary is in the hands of whatever app, service or person you sent it to, and it is handled under their terms rather than ours.

What we never receive

The app does not send us your excerpt titles, your reminders, your notes, your round history, your device identifiers, your location or usage statistics. There is no analytics in the app and no server of ours for any of it to go to.

Apple provides us with the ordinary App Store reporting any developer gets, such as aggregate download and sales figures and, if you choose to share them, crash reports and App Store reviews. Those come from Apple under Apple's own privacy terms and are not collected by the app.

If you email us

Writing to support@codedrealities.com means we hold your email address and whatever you put in the message, for as long as it takes to help you and to keep a record of the exchange. We use it to answer you and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share it.

Please do not send us anything you would rather we did not have. To answer a support question we almost never need your actual lists.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, including children. There is no account to create and no profile to fill in.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights over personal data a company holds about you, including access, correction and deletion. In our case the only personal data we could hold is an email you sent us, so a request under those rights is a request about that email. Write to the address above and we will deal with it.

There is no data held about you in the app for us to access, correct or delete, because the app sends us nothing. The data on your phone is under your control: you can delete a list, delete a round or delete the app.

Changes

If a future version of the app changes what it does with data, this page is updated before that version ships, and the date at the top changes with it. This page describes version 1.0.
